Anjan Dutta Dies

Seeking to set its house in order in Assam in the wake of the poll debacle, senior leader Ripun Bora was on Tuesday appointed the state party president in place of Anjan Dutta who died sometime back after a brief illness.

Assam Pradesh Congress Committee president Anjan Dutta passed away this morning at the AIIMS hospital in Delhi following cardiac failure.

Bengali film, television, and stage actor Pijush Ganguly, who met with an accident last week, passed away at a city hospital early morning on October 25. He had acted in acclaimed films like Goynar Baksha by Aparna Sen, Laptop by Kaushik Ganguly and Byomkesh Phire Elo by Anjan Dutta
