After protests through the day over the arrest of Anna Hazare, the Government was all set to release him from Tihar Jail tonight. However, Mr Hazare refused to come out of jail, saying he wants unconditional permission to fast at Jaiprakash Narain Park.

Delhi Police used two sections - 107 and 151 - of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) to detain social activist Anna Hazare. Section 107 of the Criminal Procedure Code: Apprehension of breech of peace and tranquility of an area. Section 151 of the Criminal Procedure Code: Arrest to prevent the commission of cognizable offences.
