Anna to end fast today, cancels jail bharo agitation

Anna Hazare, 74 and unwell, has announced that he is calling off his fast at the MMRDA Grounds in Mumbai. In his changed plans, Anna will not be travelling to Delhi and is likely to head to Ralegan Siddhi after a medical check-up.

Anna Hazare received a hero's welcome as he returned to Ralegan Siddhi village in Maharashtra late last night. He was discharged from the Medanta Medicity Hospital in Gurgaon last evening following improvement in his health.

Hundreds of Anna Hazare supporters have stepped forward to pay the activist's hospital bill if the 74-year-old is charged. The help poured in a day after a news report on the ambiguity over the veteran activist's medical bills for treatment at a Gurgaon-based hospital.

Anna Hazare to undergo medical test before leaving Tihar Jail

Anna Hazare's health continues to be a matter of national concern. Addressing reporters outside Tihar jail, member of Team Anna, Arvind Kejriwal, said a team of doctors would check on Anna Hazare just before his release from jail. These reportedly would consist of doctors from a government hospital and those from Naresh Trehan's Vedanta Medicity.
