Supreme Court Judge B N Agrawal on Friday rescued himself from hearing the bail plea of real estate tycoons Sushil and Gopal Ansal in the Uphaar fire case after counsel Ram Jethmalani expressed reservations about the matter being placed before a Bench that included him.

Uphaar case: Ansals' bid to change judges rejected

The Ansal brothers' plea to change the Supreme Court Bench hearing the Uphaar case has been rejected by the Court Registry. Both the brothers are in jail after the Supreme Court cancelled their bail in September last year.
