The Union Cabinet today approved a bill provisioning death penalty or life imprisonment to those involved in piracy at sea, official sources said.

The Home Ministry today withdrew the sanction given to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to prosecute under an anti-piracy law two Italian marines, accused of killing Kerala fishermen.
