Kerala expects ten per cent increase in domestic as well as international tourists this year, state Tourism Minister AP Anil Kumar. The state earned Rs 4,221 crore foreign exchange in 2011 while it was Rs 3,797 crore in 2010.

Over one crore tourist arrivals in Kerala last year

Kerala registered a record tourist arrival of one crore with the tourism industry generating a revenue of Rs 19,037 crore during the last one year.Foreign tourist arrivals was 7,32,985 while 93,81 455 domestic travellers visited the state during the period, Tourism Minister A P Anilkumar told reporters.
