Ahead of the Congress session in April, the party finally seems to be in revamp mode. Party chiefs of four states - Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana and Punjab - are going to be changed by this week, sources told NDTV. A formal announcement could be made as early as today.

Blow to Congress ahead of polls, loses Gandhinagar corporation, mayor to BJP
Mayor Mahendrasinh Rana announced that he will join the BJP with two other corporators. Mr Rana had developed serious differences with the Congress leadership. He had indicated his move earlier when he wrote a letter to the president of the Gujarat Congress, Arjun Modvadia praising Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi.
