Arms Licence Scam

The CBI on Tuesday searched over 40 locations in Jammu and Kashmir, Delhi and Madhya Pradesh, including the residence of Baseer Ahmad Khan, the former advisor to J&K Lieutenant Governor, in connection with a massive gun licence racket.

Several district magistrates in Jammu and Kashmir in collusion with arms dealers had issued illegal gun licences going back as far as 2012, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) said on Saturday as part of their probe into an arms licence racket.

The CBI on Tuesday searched over 40 locations in Jammu and Kashmir, Delhi and Madhya Pradesh, including the residence of Baseer Ahmad Khan, the former advisor to J&K Lieutenant Governor, in connection with a massive gun licence racket.
