A top leader of Nationalist Socialist Council of Nagaland-Khaplang or NSCN(K) has been arrested by the National Investigation Agency for his alleged involvement in an ambush in which 18 Army personnel were killed in Manipur on the Indo-Myanmar border earlier this month.

The Bihar government has announced a state funeral for four soldiers from the 21 Bihar Regiment who were killed on Tuesday in an ambush by the Pakistani troops along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir. A compensation of Rs 10 lakh for the family of each of the four soldiers has also been announced by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
