Prominent activists, including Aruna Roy and Nikhil Dey, met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Monday to press for a deeper examination of the RTI Amendment Bill which is slated for consideration in Parliament this week. The activists also submitted a petition, carrying one lakh signatures, seeking deferring of the amendments in the bill.
