Arunachal Pradesh Heavy Rain Forecast

With the IMD issuing a red alert for Arunachal Pradesh with a forecast of extremely heavy rainfall, Chief Minister Pema Khandu today requested the people of the state to take all precautionary measures and avoid vulnerable and isolated locations.

Weather update today: Very heavy rainfall is expected over several parts of northeastern India over the next three days. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has sounded a Red alert in Bihar, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Sikkim and Himalayan foothills of West Bengal.

Monsoon update today: Apart from Mumbai and the Konkan coast, the IMD has predicted isolated extremely heavy rainfall in the eastern part of the country including Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, hill districts of West Bengal, Bihar and eastern Uttar Pradesh on Thursday and Friday.
