In another crackdown on smuggling activities, Assam Rifles along with Special Narcotics CID Crime arrested two persons and recovered heroin worth over 47 lakh in Aizawl, Mizoram.

A woman from Myanmar was arrested and heroin worth Rs 1.04 crore was recovered in Champhai by Assam Rifles on Wednesday.

Personnel of Assam Rifles have recovered 2 lakh tablets of methamphetamine worth Rs 60 crore and heroin valued at around Rs 27.8 crore in East Mizoram's Champhai district near the Myanmar border, officials said.
