Assam Wildlife Smuggling

The Assam forest department and the Wildlife Crime Control Bureau (WCCB) got a major success with a massive seizure of illegally smuggled marine life products, mostly sea fans, apart from parts of several endangered species from Guwahati on Tuesday.

In a joint operation conducted by the Assam forest department with the wildlife crime control bureau, a major international racket of smuggling animal parts was busted on Sunday.

After wildlife it's now smuggling of plant life that is destroying large tracts of forest area in Assam's North Cachar Hills.
