The National Conference and the Congress on Tuesday won the Jammu and Kashmir election - the first since special status was scrapped in 2019 and the first in the former state in a decade - defying exit poll predictions of a hung Assembly.

The counting of votes for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, conducted over seven polls from April 19 to June 1, is currently underway.

Votes polled in the Arunachal Pradesh assembly election are being counted today. The state with 60 assembly seats saw 133 candidates contesting. The ruling BJP has already won 10 seats unopposed. In 2019, BJP formed government after winning 41 seats.
