Ayodhya Deepotsav 2020

Adding an international touch to Diwali celebrations, a group of 12 Russian artists performed Ramlila in the temple town of Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh.

Deepotsav celebrations began today in the holy city of Ayodhya in the presence of Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, a Diwali event which will also see the lighting of a record 5.51 lakh earthen lamps at dusk.

Ayodhya is gearing up for the fourth Deepotsav celebrations started by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in 2017, the first since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic and the commencement of the Ram temple construction, with preparations going on in full swing to make it a historic and memorable event.
