The number of COVID-19 deaths in India climbed to 5,20,855 with 4,100 fatalities recorded in a day and Maharashtra reconciling the number of deaths caused by the viral disease in the state, the Union health ministry said today.

2.35 Lakh New Covid Cases In India, Positivity Falls From 15.8% To 13.39%

India's daily Covid curve showed marginal improvement today as the country reported 2.35 lakh cases, which is around 6% lower than yesterday. The country reported 871 deaths which included the 258 backlog deaths from Kerala and 613 fresh casualties.

15 new dengue cases have been reported in Bhopal in just the past one week - the highest this year - taking the total number of dengue cases in the city to 93. The spike in dengue infections has also strained the resources of the city's only five government test centres, resulting in patients having to wait for days for their test results.
