A court in Baghdad has sentenced two Iraqis to prison time over "indecent" videos on social media that "undermine modesty and public morality", the judiciary said Wednesday.

An Iraqi court on Sunday jailed a French woman for 20 years for belonging to ISIS, as her lawyers accused authorities in Paris of "interference" to prevent her returning to France.

Across the broad swath of territory it controls bridging Syria and Iraq, extremist militants from the group known as the Islamic State have proven to be highly organised administrators.
