A 41-year-old heavily indebted Indian mechanic who ran a garage has allegedly committed suicide in Bahrain.

The body of an Indian woman, who allegedly committed suicide on Sunday in her apartment in Bahrain's capital Manama, will be repatriated to her home in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.

More than 100 workers in Bahrain, most of them from Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, may soon be able to return home. Some have not seen their families in over six years. Their employer, a company named Nass Contracting, which is in the business of construction, had won a court case that banned them from travelling outside Bahrain.
