Face of the Gujjar quota protests, Kirori Singh Bainsla, joined the BJP today. A former soldier, Colonel (retd) Kirori Singh Bainsla, has been spearheading the protests, demanding five per cent quota in educational institutions and government jobs for Gujjars across Rajasthan.

Kirori Singh Bainsla, who led the Gujjar agitation in Rajasthan, joined the BJP today days before the country goes to polls. The Gujjar leader and his son Vijay Bainsla were welcomed into the party by BJP chief Amit Shah and senior leader Prakash Javadekar in Delhi.

Gujjar leader Col Bainsla is the man who shook the Vasundhara government in Rajasthan. He has now joined the BJP.
