The Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court has refused to quash an FIR lodged against Alt News co-founder Mohammed Zubair for calling Hindu seers Yati Narsinghanand Saraswati, Bajrang Muni and Anand Swaroop "hate mongers" on Twitter.

Bajrang Muni Das of Maharishi Shri Laxman Das Udasi Ashram, who allegedly made a hate speech and issued a "rape threat" in Uttar Pradesh's Sitapur, was granted bail by a local court.

A hatemonger from Uttar Pradesh, who threatened Muslim women with rape, has been arrested. The police caught Bajrang Muni Das, the head of Maharshi Shri Lakshman Das Udasin Ashram in Khairabad, from Sitapur.

A Uttar Pradesh seer, who allegedly delivered a hate speech against a community and made a rape threat, has been charged, police said on Saturday.
