Ban On Non-ISI Marked Helmets Called Off In Bengaluru

Following the backlash on imposing a blanket ban on non-ISI marked helmets, the Bengaluru City traffic police have decided to withdraw its drive on substandard helmets. The crackdown that was supposed to start from February 1, 2018, has been called off after the city traffic police asked for clarification from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).

Very soon, traffic will have to stop in Bangalore for a coming ambulance. The city, which recently provided a green corridor for the transport of a human heart for transplant, wants to give a permanent priority to ambulances. And even VIP vehicles would have to stop for them.

A local football player in Bangalore died on the pitch during a tournament today due to lack of medical attention. Venkatesh, a first division player for a local club, Bangalore Mars, collapsed while warming up in the practice area during a match against SW Railway at the Bangalore Football Stadium. No ambulance was present at the stadium.
