Bangalore garbage crisis: Karnataka High Court questions municipal authority

The Karnataka High Court has warned Bangalore's civic body, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), that it would be superseded if it finds that politics is being played while dealing with the garbage issue in the city. This is the second rap from the court in less than three weeks to do the clean-up act.

Congress holds protests in Bangalore over delayed garbage disposal

The opposition party in Karnataka has decided to literally raise a stink over the week-long garbage disposal issue plaguing Bangalore city. Today, at least 60 Congress workers protested at the Minerva Circle near JC Road in Bangalore. They even burnt crackers on the roads, which led to traffic jams and ironically more garbage.
