Baran Rape Case

A 13-year-old girl who was allegedly sexually abused by her 68-year-old father, was later allegedly gang-raped by two others on the pretext of rescuing the minor from her father, Baran Police said on Tuesday.

A member of the National Commission for Women on Saturday asked why action cannot be taken in the alleged Baran rape case in Rajasthan even if the girls went out with the accused on their own, saying consent does not matter when minors are involved.

Instead of asking why Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra have not visited Baran in Rajasthan, where two girls were allegedly raped, senior BJP leaders should go to the district themselves to know the ground reality, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said today.
