A 55-year-old man was killed on Sunday in a fight between two vegetable sellers in Beawar town of Rajasthan's Ajmer district, police said.

The Ajmer police are probing the role of an online game in the alleged suicide of a 17-year old girl in Rajasthan's Beawar town, an officer said on Wednesday. The girl, Chhavi, allegedly hung herself at her home on July 30.

Twenty years ago, in a small dusty town in Rajasthan called Beawar, a people's movement was launched to fight against corruption. This dharna, which went on for 44 days, ultimately resulted in the Right to Information Act in 2005, which now allows every citizen to get information and access government records.

A copy of the Quran that was 700-year-old was stolen from its Hindu owner in Rajasthan's Beawar town, 160 kms from the state capital of Jaipur. 55-year-old Jaidev Prasad Sharma said the Quran was gifted to him by a friend in 2011.
