A pick-up van driver transporting animal carcasses was brutally assaulted by a group of villagers in Uttar Pradesh's Mathura on Sunday night.

A man has been beaten to death in Jharkhand by a group of people who accused him of carrying beef in his car, which they set on fire. Two days ago a dairy owner was attacked by a 1,000-strong mob in the state and his home was set on fire after the carcass of a cow was found near the house.

An assistant doctor rushed in visibly disturbed at having spotted our OB van parked outside. All attempts to get her to comment on the Dadri meat sample and on the forensic report came to naught.
