Man Accused Of Carrying Beef Killed In Jharkhand, Police Says 'Premeditated Murder'

A man has been beaten to death in Jharkhand by a group of people who accused him of carrying beef in his car, which they set on fire. Two days ago a dairy owner was attacked by a 1,000-strong mob in the state and his home was set on fire after the carcass of a cow was found near the house.

Van Set on Fire in Maharashtra After Beef Suspicion

A van was set on fire in Maharashtra by a crowd of over 100 people on Sunday night after rumours that it was carrying beef. Later, police confirmed that it was indeed carrying around 100 kg of beef. The sale and consumption of beef is illegal in Maharashtra.

First of 350 new Police Control Room vans hit Delhi's streets

Twelve new Police Control Room (PCR) vans have rolled out today on the streets of Delhi. They are part of the additional 350 PCR vans being pressed into service by the Delhi Police to beef up security for citizens, especially women, in the capital.
