Google today celebrates Begum Akhtar's anniversary with a doodle that marks the immense contribution she made towards Hindustani classical music. The doodle very aptly shows Begum Akhtar playing sitar. The doodle is coloured in the shades of yellow, blue and pink.

"We are trying to get Kangana Ranaut to play one of the stages of Begum Akhtar in the film," Anup Jalota said when asked about the female lead of the film. "We have grown up listening to and idolising Begum Akhtar. Associating with Rita Ganguly, who knew her personally, is a real blessing," he added
