Belarus India Ties

External Foreign Minister S Jaishankar on Tuesday held discussions with Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sergei Aleinik on bilateral ties including development partnership in the field of defence.

India and Belarus today inked 10 pacts to expand cooperation in a range of areas and decided to explore joint development and manufacture of military platforms, giving a fresh momentum in bilateral ties.

India and Belarus are expected to ramp up their bilateral cooperation, including in defence and security, as the eastern European country's President Alexander Lukashenko is on a two-day visit to New Delhi.

Ireland became the first Affiliate side to qualify for the World Cup after its sixth round ICC World Cricket League Championship match against Netherlands ended in a tie on Tuesday. Ireland had won the first ODI on Sunday in Amstelveen by 88 runs.
