India is planning to construct six new Fast Breeder Reactors over the next 15 years, a senior official said today. BHAVINI, the implementing arm of the Department of Atomic Energy, has plans to construct the reactors in next decade and a half.

Man arrested for taking photos of Kalpakkam reactor in Tamil Nadu

A contract labourer at the Madras Atomic Power station at Kalpakkam in Kancheepuram Tamil Nadu has been arrested after some pen drives and a mobile phone that had over 400 photos of the BHAVINI Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor were seized from him, police said on Thursday.
