Bihar Liquor Ban April 1

The district administration of Nalanda today said it has initiated the process to impose a fine of Rs 5,000 on every household of Kailashpuri village as collective penalty for violating the liquor prohibition law in Bihar.

The complete ban on alcohol in Bihar seems to have come as a boon for small traders in Nepal who sell low-quality alcohol.

A partial liquor ban has been brought into effect in Bihar from today following the state government issuing a notification in this regard.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today exhorted women not to hesitate in destroying the country liquor manufacturing units after April 1, the day prohibition on country liquor will come into force in the state.
