Bihar truckers and bus operators today decided to defer their one-day strike on April 30 against the Centre's Transport Safety Bill and collection of toll tax on 49 bridges by the Bihar government for relief operations in earthquake-devastated Nepal and Bihar.

The transporters from Bihar will take part in the indefinite strike called by the apex transports' body - All India Motor Transport Congress (AIMTC) - from April 1 next to protest against hike in third party insurance premium and related demands, the Bihar Motor Transports Federation (BMTF) President Uday Singh said on Tuesday.
