An 18-year-old Muslim woman was tied to a tree and allegedly thrashed for hours after she eloped with a Hindu man in Bihar. The incident took place in Nawada district, 117 km from capital Patna.

A man was tied to a tree as his wife and 12-year-old daughter were gang-raped at gunpoint by around 20 men on Wednesday in Bihar's Gaya. Two of the attackers have been identified by the family and arrested. Some 17 are in custody, being questioned for a crime that has jolted the region.
