The RJD will seek an appointment with the Jharkhand Governor Monday to apprise her of the administration's decision of not allowing visitors to meet jailed party president Lalu Yadav, a day after his aides were not allowed to see him at a hospital in Jharkhand capital Ranchi.

Jharkhand cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Monday, approved setting up of a 25-ft statue of freedom fighter Birsa Munda at the old Birsa Munda Central Jail in Ranchi, which is now being converted into a museum.

The RJD leader was moved to Room 11 on Wednesday night, RIMS Superintendent Vivek Kashyap told reporters on Thursday. He said permission was granted by the Superintendent of the Birsa Munda Central Jail to shift him.

Bihar's veteran politician Lalu Yadav, who was found guilty in a corruption case, will receive his quantum of sentence today from a special court. Mr Yadav has been in Ranchi's Birsa Munda Central Jail since December 23. Mr Yadav's lawyer has told reporters that they would seek minimum punishment.

With hundreds of visitors flocking the Birsa Munda Central Jail in Ranchi, authorities have demanded that a magistrate be appointed to maintain order at the entrance of the prison where RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav is lodged.

Officials of the Birsa Munda Central Jail in Ranchi are yet to decide what job they should allot to RJD president Lalu Prasad.

Lalu Prasad, prisoner number 3312 at Ranchi's Birsa Munda Central jail, will not be in court this afternoon when a CBI judge announces sentence in the fodder scam case in which he was convicted on Monday. All 45 convicts in the case will be informed about their fate through teleconference.

Lalu Prasad wanted to keep his Z-plus security in jail, but the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court in Ranchi, which convicted him in a fodder scam case yesterday, turned down his plea.
