Rapping ally BJP, the Shiv Sena today said while former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was easily blamed for inflation during UPA rule, the present governments in the state and at the Centre have also failed to check the rising prices of essential commodities even after one year.

With inflation touching a five-month high of 6.01 per cent in May, senior BJP leader and former Union Minister Arun Shourie on Wednesday said the new government will take some time to control rising prices.
