Rat Bites Patient At Mumbai Civic Hospital, "Superficial Injuries," Says Doctor

A patient receiving treatment at a civic hospital in Mumbai was bitten by a rat near his eye, a relative alleged today. Speaking about the ordeal, the relative said that the patient had undergone an eye surgery at the hospital.

Shatabdi Hospital has gone to the rats. In the past week alone, two elderly women admitted in the BMC-run hospital have been brutally attacked by rats - one victim's eye was nibbled at, while the other woman's toe was gnawed on by the rodents.
