The fifth phase voting will be held for 51 seats in 11 districts today. The districts include Amethi, Sultanpur, Ambedkar Nagar (considered in central UP), and Bahraich and Shravasti in Terai region. This phase of Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections 2017 will witness the participation of over 1.84 crore voters which include 96 lakh women.

The party headed by Ms Mayawati - a heavyweight in the state with a huge Dalit votebank - is hoping to win big in the assembly elections in the state will be held in 7 phases from February 11. The party won 80 seats in 2012.
