Bsp Mlas Suspended

Seven legislators - one from the BJP and six suspended from the BSP - joined the Samajwadi Party (SP) in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday in the presence of Akhilesh Yadav.

BSP leader Mayawati today suspended seven of her party's rebel MLAs who had opposed the nomination of its official candidate Ramji Gautam for the elections to the Rajya Sabha.

High drama outside a five-star hotel in Gurgaon near Delhi, that began late last night, continued early this morning with a few MLAs from the Kamal Nath government in Madhya Pradesh allegedly 'forcibily' kept at the hotel. Two Congress leaders headed a 'rescue' operation.
