Bus Accident In Varanasi

22 differently abled persons, on their way to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's aid distribution programme, were injured when the bus carrying them hit a pole under Kapsethi police station area, this morning in Uttar Pradesh.

Two persons were killed and one injured when they were run over by a speeding bus on the Varanasi-Jaunpur route in Varanasi leading to a clash between locals and police.

Around 40 pilgrims from West Bengal were injured on Saturday as the bus in which they were travelling overturned on NH-2 near Karmnasha village in Bihar's Kaimur district, police sources said.

The number of dead in the Azamgarh mishap has risen to 16 after five more passengers succumbed to injuries today. The accident took place on the Azamgarh-Varanasi road when a passenger bus coming from Varanasi hit those taking part in a marriage procession, Superintendent of Police Bhagwan Swaroop Srivastva said.
