An Irishman, suspected of being infected with coronavirus, fled from a hospital on Thursday but was traced to a hotel in Odisha capital Bhubaneswar where he has been kept in isolation with another person with whom he had come into contact, officials said.

The doctors at the Mayurbhanj's Raruan block hospital, 300 km from the state capital Bhubaneswar, are demanding constant power supply and more staff members.

A woman delivered a baby at the verandah of a state-run hospital without medical assistance this morning, but the infant died after sometime even as his family members alleged negligence.

The police today recovered the body of a 55-year-old woman with multiple head injuries and her throat slit from a house in busy Rasulgarh area in the state capital.

The relatives of a baby born at the Capital Hospital here have claimed that doctors dumped the infant in a dustbin declaring it stillborn but they found it alive.
