At 81-years-old Spanish mountaineer Carlos Soria is training to tackle one of the world's highest peaks, a challenge he will dedicate to elderly victims of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Spanish King Juan Carlos' 13-year-old grandson accidentally shot himself in the foot while practising with his father, the palace said on Tuesday. The boy, Felipe Marichalar Borbon, shot himself while learning to use a shotgun on the family's estate in Soria, north-central Spain, on Monday, the royal household said in a statement.
