NASA's James Webb Telescope Captures Rare Ring Phenomenon Around Star 5,600 Light-Years Away

NASA's JWST has captured an image of a star located around 5,600 light-years away in detail, which shows the celestial body surrounded by large concentric circles of light. The pair, known as colliding wind binary, consists of an extremely rare Wolf-Rayet star called WR 140 and a hot and massive O-type star companion, which is also a rare object.

The comet named C/2017 K2 (PANSTARRS) or K2 went past Earth this week, and could be seen through large amateur telescopes, as reported. However, considering its distance from us, it did not offer a bright show despite its massive size. The comet is next expected to make an approach towards the Sun in December this year.
