The Kerala Government would convene a meeting of Muslim religious organisations in the state to elicit their views on the recent Supreme Court direction to the Centre to phase out Haj subsidy, according to Industries Minister PK Kunhalikutty.

In a significant judgment, the Supreme Court today directed the Centre to eliminate Haj subsidy after 10 years. The court also directed the Centre to reduce the number of its representatives to be sent along with Haj delegations.
