Chennai Bomb Hoax

The departure of a Dubai-bound flight from Chennai International Airport was delayed today following a hoax bomb threat, police said.

A drunk man who wanted to prevent his family members from travelling out of the country on Saturday made a hoax bomb threat to a Dubai-bound private carrier, only to land in the police net.

A bomb threat by a suspected woman caller to the airport here on Monday turned out to be a hoax, after security personnel launched a thorough search, officials said.
