Chennai Traffic Falls Victim To Jallikattu Protests, Arterial Roads Blocked
Chennai traffic was hugely hit on Monday as the protests over Jallikattu took a violent turn. Areas including Triplicane, Teynampet, Kilpauk, T Nagar and Anna Salai have been blocked by protesters since morning, causing severe hardship to office goers.

Over 4,700 lost lives in road accidents in TN during Jan-Nov
Tamil Nadu continued to be a notorious state for road accidents in the country, with 18,188 accidents reported claiming 4,735 lives between January and November last year. This is higher by 231, as in the corresponding period in 2010, 4,504 lives were lost, according to a data obtained from State Traffic Planning Cell.
