Chennai Schools Bomb Threat

A few private schools in the city received a bomb threat via email early on Wednesday, police said and appealed to the public not to panic.

Five major airports - Chennai and Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu, Patna in Bihar, Vadodara in Gujarat, and Jaipur in Rajasthan - were among 41 that received bomb warning e-mails Tuesday in a worrying uptick of similar threats to schools and hospitals.

A few schools in the Greater Chennai City Police limits received bomb threat e-mails on Thursday from an anonymous person, said police.
