Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, which is set for a Diwali release in two weeks, was drawn into a new controversy today as a group of nearly 450 cinema owners said it will not screen films with Pakistani actors given "public sentiment" over terror attacks from across the border.

High Court restrains deduction of service tax from film distributors

The Madras High Court has restrained Tamil Nadu Cinema Theatre Owners Federation (TNCTOF) and Tamil Nadu Film Exhibitors' Association (TNFEA) from deducting Service Tax from the distributors share of income by following a recent circular of the Central Board of Excise and Customs.
