Cold Wave In Noida

All schools from nursery to standard 8 will remain closed till January 16, 2024, in Gautam Budh Nagar in the wake of dense fog, low visibility, and cold wave in the district, the Department of Basic Education in Gautam Budh Nagar said.

Amid the cold wave conditions and dense fog, the district administration in Gautam Buddh Nagar on Tuesday announced the closure of schools for students of Classes 1 to 8 till January 6.

All classes up to standard eight will remain suspended on December 31 and January 1 in all private and government schools across Noida and Greater Noida due to cold weather.

Delhi and its adjoining areas woke up to a thick blanket of fog this morning that hit road, rail and air traffic and led to the loss of six lives. Six persons, two of them children, were drowned as a car ran into a canal in Greater Noida near Delhi, presumably because of the fog, officials said.
