Families of victims killed during an explosion at a "colour party" in Taiwan that left 15 dead and hundreds injured are calling for the event organiser to receive a stiff sentence, as a procedural hearing opened in Taipei today.

Witnesses described the scene at a Taiwan water park as "hell" after a ball of fire ripped through a crowd, with authorities putting the injured at more than 500 today, almost 200 of them seriously hurt.
