Seeking to improve India's ranking in the ease of doing business index, a bill was introduced in the Lok Sabha yesterday to amend a law for speedy disposal of commercial disputes.

The Lok Sabha on Wednesday passed the Commercial Courts, Commercial Division and Commercial Appellate Division of High Courts Bill, 2015, by a voice vote.

The government today cleared two ordinances for speedy settlement of commercial disputes in the country, giving a fresh impetus to ease of doing business.
