Abhijeet Gupta settled for a quick draw with Arghyadip Das in the ninth and final round to win the Commonwealth Chess Championship.

On what turned out to be an easy day for the top seed, Abhijeet Gupta employed his pet Grunfeld defence as black and Lalith Babu went for a variation favoured by Vladimir Kramnik some time back.
