In what will become an important precedent and will have implications in several other cases, the Andhra Pradesh Minorities Welfare Department has just issued a Government order, saying that as a "confidence-building measure and compensation", it is paying Rs 70 lakh to the youth "affected in the Mecca Masjid blast case".
